This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2010-1674)

The vulnerability allows remote attackers to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and application crash) via a malformed Extended Communities attribute.


2) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2010-1675)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform service disruption.

bgpd in Quagga before 0.99.18 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (session reset) via a malformed AS_PATHLIMIT path attribute.
