EUVDB-ID: #VU42856
Risk: Medium
CVSSv4.0: 5.5 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P/U:Green]
CVE-ID: CVE-2009-5029
CWE-ID:
CWE-20 - Improper input validation
Exploit availability: Yes
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.
Integer overflow in the __tzfile_read function in glibc before 2.15 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted timezone (TZ) file, as demonstrated using vsftpd.

EUVDB-ID: #VU42857
Risk: Medium
CVSSv4.0: 2.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green]
CVE-ID: CVE-2011-4609
CWE-ID:
CWE-399 - Resource Management Errors
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform service disruption.
The svc_run function in the RPC implementation in glibc before 2.15 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a large number of RPC connections.
