This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2012-1190)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. The vulnerability allows user-assisted remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted database name.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.


2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2012-1902)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

show_config_errors.php in phpMyAdmin 3.4.x before 3.4.10.2, when a configuration file does not exist, allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a direct request, which reveals the installation path in an error message about this missing file.
