Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-4522)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
lib/filelib.php in Moodle through 2.2.11, 2.3.x before 2.3.10, 2.4.x before 2.4.7, and 2.5.x before 2.5.3 does not send "Cache-Control: private" HTTP headers, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information by requesting a file that had been previously retrieved by a caching proxy server.
2) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-4523)
Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform Cross-site scripting attacks.
An input validation error exists in message/lib.php in Moodle through 2.2.11, 2.3.x before 2.3.10, 2.4.x before 2.4.7, and 2.5.x before 2.5.3. A remote authenticated attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
3) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-4524)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in repository/filesystem/lib.php in Moodle through 2.2.11, 2.3.x before 2.3.10, 2.4.x before 2.4.7, and 2.5.x before 2.5.3. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files via a . (dot dot) in a path.
4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-4525)
Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform Cross-site scripting attacks.
An input validation error exists in mod/quiz/report/responses/responses_table.php in Moodle through 2.2.11, 2.3.x before 2.3.10, 2.4.x before 2.4.7, and 2.5.x before 2.5.3.
