Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-0028)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to #BASIC_IMPACT#.
libvirt 1.1.1 through 1.2.0 allows context-dependent attackers to bypass the domain:getattr and connect:search_domains restrictions in ACLs and obtain sensitive domain object information via a request to the (1) virConnectDomainEventRegister and (2) virConnectDomainEventRegisterAny functions in the event registration API.
2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-6436)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error. A remote attacker can trigger denial of service conditions via a guest in the shutdown status, as demonstrated by the "virsh memtune" command.
