Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in the gcab_folder_extract function in libgcab/gcab-folder.c in gcab 0.4. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and remote attackers to write to arbitrary files via crafted path in a CAB file, as demonstrated by " mpmoo.
