Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The weakness exists due to and error insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted .pdf file, cause the PDF viewer component to hang and Firefox to use a lot of CPU power.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in denial of service.

Mitigation

Update to version 57.
