Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2007-2369)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in picture.php in WebSPELL 4.01.02 and earlier, when PHP before 4.3.0 is used,. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a . (dot dot) in the id parameter. Successful exploitation requires that PHP before 4.3.0 is used.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2003-1302)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform service disruption.
The IMAP functionality in PHP before 4.3.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via an e-mail message with a (1) To or (2) From header with an address that contains a large number of "" (backslash) characters.
