EUVDB-ID: #VU38064
Risk: High
CVSSv4.0: 6.1 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Amber]
CVE-ID: CVE-2017-15385
CWE-ID:
CWE-119 - Memory corruption
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.
The store_versioninfo_gnu_verdef function in libr/bin/format/elf/elf.c in radare2 2.0.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (r_read_le16 invalid write and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted ELF file.
MitigationInstall update from vendor's website.
Vulnerable software versionsradare2: 2.0.0

EUVDB-ID: #VU38068
Risk: Medium
CVSSv4.0: 5.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green]
CVE-ID: CVE-2017-15368
CWE-ID:
CWE-121 - Stack-based buffer overflow
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the wasm_dis function in libr/asm/arch/wasm/wasm.c when processing a crafted WASM file that triggers an incorrect r_hex_bin2str call. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
MitigationInstall update from vendor's website.
