Description
This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17822)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the /admin/user_list_backend.php sSortDir_0 parameter. An attacker can exploit this to gain access to the data in a connected MySQL database. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
2) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17823)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the admin/configuration.php order_by array parameter.
3) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17824)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the admin/batch_manager_unit.php element_ids parameter in unit mode. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17825)
The vulnerability allows a remote privileged user to read and manipulate data.
The Batch Manager component of Piwigo 2.9.2 is vulnerable to Persistent Cross Site Scripting via tags-* array parameters in an admin.php?page=batch_manager&mode=unit request. An attacker can exploit this to hijack a client's browser along with the data stored in it.
5) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17826)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.
The Configuration component of Piwigo 2.9.2 is vulnerable to Persistent Cross Site Scripting via the gallery_title parameter in an admin.php?page=configuration§ion=main request. An attacker can exploit this to hijack a client's browser along with the data stored in it.
6) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17827)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Piwigo 2.9.2 is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery via /admin.php?page=configuration§ion=main or /admin.php?page=batch_manager&mode=unit. An attacker can exploit this to coerce an admin user into performing unintended actions.
7) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17774)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
8) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-17775)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when processing the name parameter in an admin.php?page=album-3-properties request. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
