Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Type confusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-4945)
2) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-5000)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to an integer overflow when processing .swf files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted .swf file, trick the victim into opening it and gain access to sensitive information.
3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-5001)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read when processing .swf files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted .swf file, trick the victim into opening it and gain access to sensitive information.
4) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-5002)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a stack-based buffer overflow when processing .swf files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted .swf file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow the attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
