Description

This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-8424)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the ajax/status.php sort parameter. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

2) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-8425)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the construction of SQL-ERR messages. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

3) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-8426)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when processing the newControl array, as demonstrated by the newControl[MinTiltRange] parameter.

4) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-8427)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.

daemonControl in includes/functions.php in ZoneMinder before 1.32.3 allows command injection via shell metacharacters.

5) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-8428)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the skins/classic/views/control.php groupSql parameter, as demonstrated by a newGroup[MonitorIds][] value. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.

6) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-8429)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the ajax/status.php filter[Query][terms][0][cnj] parameter. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
