Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-5100)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in the BMP header parsing functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted BMP image file, trigger integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

Note: This vulnerability affects LEADTOOLS version 20.0.2019.3.15.

2) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-5084)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists in the TIF-parsing functionality due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted TIF image, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Note: This vulnerability affects LEADTOOLS version 20.0.2019.3.15.

3) Integer underflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-5099)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to integer underflow in the CMP-parsing functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted CMP image file to the affected application, trigger integer underflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

Note: This vulnerability affects LEADTOOLS version 20.0.2019.3.15.

4) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-5125)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the JPEG2000 parsing functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted J2K image file, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

Note: This vulnerability affects LEADTOOLS version 20.0.2019.3.15.
