Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Arbitrary file upload (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of vulnerable Archive_Tar library. If Drupal is configured to allow .tar, .tar.gz, .bz2 or .tlz file uploads, a remote attacker can upload and execute arbitrary PHP code on the system.

2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected website.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied archives. A remote authenticated user can upload a specially crafted archive and execute arbitrary code on the server.

This issue is mitigated by the fact that the attacker would be required to have the "Synchronize, import, and export configuration" permission, a permission that only trusted administrators should be given.

3) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: N/A)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

4) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: N/A)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when processing displaying content type names in the content creation interface. A remote attacker can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

5) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: N/A)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when displaying certain block description screated by administrators. A remote attacker can trick the victim to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
