EUVDB-ID: #VU31784
Risk: High
CVSSv4.0: 8.9 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P/U:Amber]
CVE-ID: CVE-2020-15052
CWE-ID:
CWE-89 - Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')
Exploit availability: Yes
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the Netmask, Hostname, and Alias fields. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
MitigationInstall update from vendor's website.
Vulnerable software versionsArtica Proxy: before 4.28.030418

Can this vulnerability be exploited remotely?
Yes. This vulnerability can be exploited by a remote non-authenticated attacker via the Internet.
How the attacker can exploit this vulnerability?
The attacker would have to send a specially crafted request to the affected application in order to exploit this vulnerability.
Is there known malware, which exploits this vulnerability?
No. We are not aware of malware exploiting this vulnerability. However, proof of concept for this vulnerability is available.

CVSSv4.0: 2 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:N/E:P/U:Clear]
CVE-ID: CVE-2020-15053
CWE-ID:
CWE-79 - Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting')
Exploit availability: Yes
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via these search fields: real time request, System Events, Proxy Events, Proxy Objects, and Firewall objects. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
MitigationInstall update from vendor's website.
