EUVDB-ID: #VU46729
Risk: Medium
CVSSv4.0: 6.6 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green]
CVE-ID: CVE-2020-25219
CWE-ID:
CWE-787 - Out-of-bounds write
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
url::recvline in url.cpp in libproxy 0.4.x through 0.4.15 allows a remote HTTP server to trigger uncontrolled recursion via a response composed of an infinite stream that lacks a newline character. This leads to stack exhaustion.
MitigationUpdate libproxy package to version 0.4.15-5+deb10u1.
Vulnerable software versionslibproxy (Debian package): 0.4.7-0ubuntu1 - 0.4.15-13
CPE2.3https://www.debian.org/security/2020/dsa-4800

CVE-ID: CVE-2020-26154
CWE-ID:
CWE-120 - Buffer overflow
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code.
url.cpp in libproxy through 0.4.15 is prone to a buffer overflow when PAC is enabled, as demonstrated by a large PAC file that is delivered without a Content-length header.
MitigationUpdate libproxy package to version 0.4.15-5+deb10u1.
Vulnerable software versionslibproxy (Debian package): 0.4.7-0ubuntu1 - 0.4.15-13
