Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-15248)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions. A remote user with "Publisher" access can escalate their permission to "Developer" access.
2) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-26231)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote user with the cms.manage_pages, cms.manage_layouts, or cms.manage_partials permissions can send a specially crafted request and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
Remediation
