Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing different usernames with the same numeric uid. A local user with ability to change own uid can trigger a use-after-free error and escalate privileges on the system.


Mitigation

Update the affected packages.
