SB2021020944 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft Skype for Business and Lync

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Spoofing attack (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-24073)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform spoofing attack.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect processing of user-supplied data in Skype for Business and Lync. A remote authenticated attacker can spoof page content.

2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-24099)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Skype for Business and Lync. A remote authenticated attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
