Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Improper certificate validation (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.

The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of the certificates for the Fortinet OTP. A remote attacker can bypass 2FA process and gain unauthorized access to the application.

2) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources in gitlab-shell. A remote user can trigger resource exhaustion via a gitlab-shell command and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

3) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not delete pending jobs after project removal. A remote user can create unlimited number of jobs, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

4) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to output of confidential issue titles in branch logs. A remote non-authenticated attacker can view the branch log and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information.

5) Improper access control (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. Demoted project members can access details on authored merge requests.

6) Improper access control (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote attacker can bypass implemented security restrictions and gain unauthorized access to the analytic pages.

7) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: N/A)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input with API implementation. A remote non-authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems, when requests to the internal network for webhooks are enabled.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker gain access to sensitive data, located in the local network or send malicious requests to other servers from the vulnerable system.

8) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: N/A)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Prometheus integration. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker gain access to sensitive data, located in the local network or send malicious requests to other servers from the vulnerable system.
