Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1411)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of message content. A remote authenticated attacker can send specially crafted XMPP messages and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1417)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of message content. A remote authenticated attacker can send specially crafted XMPP messages and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1418)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

5) Improper Certificate Validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1471)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of certificates. A remote attacker can use a specially crafted certificate and inspect or modify connections between the Cisco Jabber client and a server.
