Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1137)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in the user management function, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1479)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in a remote management component. A remote attacker can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1480)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of input to the system file transfer functions. A local user can send a specially crafted request, overwrite arbitrary files and modify the system to gain elevated privileges on the system.
