SB2021041321 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows Console Driver

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-28438)

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the Windows Console Driver. A local attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-28443)

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the Windows Console Driver. A local user can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
