CVSSv4.0: 6.3 [CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green]
CVE-ID: N/A
CWE-ID:
CWE-121 - Stack-based buffer overflow
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in "heckValidRequest" within the handling of the SOAPAction HTTP header. A remote unauthenticated attacker on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
MitigationCybersecurity Help is currently unaware of any official solution to address this vulnerability.

Q & A
Can this vulnerability be exploited remotely?
Yes. This vulnerability can be exploited by a remote non-authenticated attacker via the local network (LAN).
How the attacker can exploit this vulnerability?
The attacker would have to send a specially crafted request to the affected device in order to exploit this vulnerability.
Is there known malware, which exploits this vulnerability?
No. We are not aware of malware exploiting this vulnerability.
