Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-30858)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing HTML content in WebKit. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

Note, the vulnerability is being actively exploited in-the-wild.


2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-30820)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the Bluetooth subsystem. A remote attacker with physical proximity to device can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
