- Critical
Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-34860)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences within the "getpage" parameter. A remote attacker on the local network can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-34861)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the webproc endpoint. A remote unauthenticated attacker on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-34862)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the "var:menu" parameter. A remote unauthenticated attacker on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-34863)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the "var:page" parameter. A remote unauthenticated attacker on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27248)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the processing of CGI scripts. A remote unauthenticated attacker on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27249)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the processing of CGI scripts. A remote unauthenticated attacker on the local network can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
7) External Control of File Name or Path (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27250)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly validate a user-supplied path within the processing of CGI scripts. A remote attacker on the local network can disclose stored credentials.
