Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Arbitrary file upload (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-38397)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of file during file upload. A remote attacker can upload a malicious file and execute it on the server.


2) Improper Neutralization of Special Elements in Output Used by a Downstream Component (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-38395)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper neutralization of special elements in output. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


3) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-38399)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
