Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21749)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to visit a specially crafted link, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21748)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in ADB_MODE_SWITCH API related code. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to visit a specially crafted link, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21746)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in "sms_cmd_status_info". A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21747)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in "xmlclient".
5) HTTP response splitting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21743)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform HTTP splitting attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to software does not corrector process CRLF character sequences. A remote attacker can send specially crafted request containing CRLF sequence and make the application to send a split HTTP response.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker perform cache poisoning attack.
6) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21744)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to Pre-Auth Configuration File Control issue. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to visit a specially crafted link and overwrite a configuration file entry.
7) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21745)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to referer mitigation bypass issue. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to visit a specially crafted link, bypass authentication process and gain unauthorized access to the application.
