Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Inconsistent interpretation of HTTP requests (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-33037)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to preform HTTP request smuggling attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of HTTP requests, related to processing of transfer encoding headers. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the server and smuggle arbitrary HTTP headers.
Successful exploitation of vulnerability may allow an attacker to poison HTTP cache and perform phishing attacks.
2) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-6950)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Web Container (JavaServer Faces) component in Oracle WebLogic Server. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-3177)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary within the PyCArg_repr in _ctypes/callproc.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the Python applications that accept floating-point numbers as untrusted input, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
