Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22807)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when a malicious *.gd1 configuration file is loaded into the GUIcon tool. A remote attacker can trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22808)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when a malicious *.gd1 configuration file is loaded into the GUIcon tool. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22809)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when a malicious *.gd1 configuration file is loaded into the GUIcon tool. A remote attacker can trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system or perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
