Description
This security bulletin contains information about 16 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39936)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote authenticated attacker can bypass implemented security restrictions and access a project's disabled wiki.
2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39945)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote administrator can approve the Merge Request even after having their project access revoked.
3) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39944)
The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.
4) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39941)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application. A remote attacker can see the default branch name for projects that restrict access to the repository to project members.
5) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39940)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote authenticated attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
6) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39938)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources within deploy Slash commands. A remote authenticated attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
7) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39937)
The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a collision in access memoization logic, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.
8) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39935)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker gain access to sensitive data, located in the local network or send malicious requests to other servers from the vulnerable system.
9) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39910)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in Swagger UI. A remote authenticated attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input within quick actions. A remote authenticated attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
16) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39915)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote attacker can bypass implemented security restrictions and see the names of project access tokens on arbitrary projects.
