Description

This security bulletin contains information about 10 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24064)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of J2K images. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted J2K file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24055)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the parsing of GIF files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted GIF file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.

3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24056)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of J2K files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted J2k file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

4) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24057)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of J2K files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted J2K file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

5) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24058)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of J2K files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted J2K file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

6) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24059)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of DCM files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted DCM file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

7) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24060)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the parsing of DCM files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted DCM file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.

8) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24061)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the parsing of DCM files. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted DCM file and gain access to sensitive information on the system.

9) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24062)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the parsing of JP2 files. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted JP2 file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

10) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24063)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of JP2 files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted JP2 file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
