Description

This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-43304)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in LZ4 compression codec. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-43305)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in LZ4 compression codec. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-42387)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the LZ4 compression codec when parsing queries. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and gain access to sensitive information or perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

4) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-42388)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the LZ4 compression codec when parsing queries. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and gain access to sensitive information or perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

5) Division by zero (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-42389)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the divide-by-zero issue in Delta compression codec when parsing a malicious query. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

6) Division by zero (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-42390)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the divide-by-zero issue in Delta compression codec when parsing a malicious query. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

7) Division by zero (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-42391)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the divide-by-zero issue in Delta compression codec when parsing a malicious query. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
