DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when a file with .7z extension is dragged to the Help>Contents area. A remote attacker can trick the victim to download and drag a specially crafted file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system under the 7zFM.exe process.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
