Description
This security bulletin contains information about 11 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Insecure library loading (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-36770)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a logic error in the Encode.pm script. A local user can place a malicious library into the current working directory and escalate privileges on the system.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-27955)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of files. A remote user can upload a specially crafted binary to the repository and execute arbitrary code on the system.
3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27040)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing DWG and PDF files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted DWG file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27041)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing DWG files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted DWG file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27042)

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the PDFTron component when parsing PDF files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PDF file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
