Description
This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1638)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the V8 Internationalization engine. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1633)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in Sharesheet implementation. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
3) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1859)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the Performance Manager component in Google Chrome. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted web page, trick the victim into visiting it, trigger use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
4) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1636)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in Performance APIs. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
5) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-43527)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when handling DER-encoded DSA or RSA-PSS signatures. A remote attacker can send specially crafted signatures encoded within CMS, S/MIME, PKCS #7, or PKCS #12 to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-23308)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing ID and IDREF attributes in valid.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted XML input to the application, trigger a use-after-free error and crash the application or execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
7) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1867)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Data Transfer in Google Chrome. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted web page, trick the victim into visiting it and gain access to sensitive information.
8) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1489)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to crash the browser.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the UI Shelf component in Google Chrome. A remote attacker can trick the victim into visiting a specially crafted web page, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and crash the browser.
