Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-41184)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of values passed to the `of` option. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-36518)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can trigger out-of-bounds write and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
3) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-42340)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform DoS attack on the target system.The vulnerability exists due memory leak when processing HTTP connections. A remote attacker can initiate multiple HTTP connections with the web server and consume all available memory on the system.
