Description

This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-41184)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of values passed to the `of` option. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

2) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-11022)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the regex operation in "jQuery.htmlPrefilter". A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application that uses .html()</code>, <code>.append() or similar methods for it and execute arbitrary JavaScript code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

3) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-23437)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop when parsing XML documents. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted XML document, consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.

4) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-25649)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to modify information on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and modify information on the system.

5) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-40690)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to an issue where the "secureValidation" property is not passed correctly when creating a KeyInfo from a KeyInfoReference element. A remote attacker can abuse an XPath Transform to extract any local .xml files in a RetrievalMethod element.

6) Error Handling (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-25762)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to an error when handling WebSocket connections. If a web application sends a WebSocket message concurrently with the WebSocket connection closing, it is possible that the application will continue to use the socket after it has been closed. As a result, subsequent connections can use the same object concurrently and share data and/or other errors.
