Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-41237)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data within the YAML parser. A remote user can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-41238)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to an error in when processing authentication requests. A remote attacker can trigger builds of jobs corresponding to the attacker-specified repository for attacker-specified commits.
3) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-41239)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the GitHub user name parameter. A remote attacker can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
