Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper management of internal resources in posix/JackSocket.cpp in libjack caused by a double file descriptor close issue during a failed connection attempt when jackd2 is not running. A remote attacker can gain access to sensitive information of corrupt files on the system, resulting in a DoS attack.

Mitigation

Update the affected package jackd2 to the latest version.
