Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-39405)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to manipulate data.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Authentication Engine component in Oracle Access Manager. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to manipulate data.


2) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-39412)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when handling data passed via the ContextValue parameter to the CustomReadServlet endpoint in Oracle Access Management CustomReadServlet. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
