Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-5366)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote authenticated user can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.


2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-0528)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in BIOS firmware. A local user can trigger memory corruption and gain elevated privileges or cause a denial of service condition on the target system.


3) Improper Initialization (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-0529)

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper initialization in BIOS firmware. A local attacker can gain elevated privileges on the target system.
