Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Incorrect default permissions (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-3101)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to file permissions are too liberal on a director deployment in tripleo-ansible. A local user can brute-force names of files inside the /var/lib/mistral/overcloud folder.


2) Incorrect default permissions (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-3146)

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to the "/etc/openstack/clouds.yaml" file has 644 permissions set. A local user can view the file and gain access to sensitive information.
