Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-46350)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the integrated web server. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-46351)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources. A remote attacker on the local network can send specially crafted PROFINET DCP packets, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-46352)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources. A remote attacker can send specially crafted PROFINET DCP packets, trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) Use of insufficiently random values (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-46353)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to the webserver of affected devices calculates session ids and nonces in an insecure manner. A remote attacker can brute-force session ids and hijack existing sessions.
5) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-46354)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in the webserver. A remote attacker on the local network can bypass implemented security restrictions and extract confidential session information under certain circumstances.
6) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-46355)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in the HTTP Referer. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
