Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-17185)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the EAP-pwd module uses a global OpenSSL BN_CTX instance to handle all
handshakes. This mean multiple threads use the same BN_CTX instance
concurrently, resulting in crashes when concurrent EAP-pwd handshakes
are initiated. A remote attacker can perform multiple login attempts and crash the daemon.
2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-41860)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error within the EAP-SIM module when parsing an unknown SIM option. A remote attacker can send specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-41861)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A malicious RADIUS client or home server can send a malformed
abinary attribute, which can cause the server to crash.
