Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to x87 floating-point stack adjustment imbalance, related to the math/i386/ directory. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Mitigation

Update the affected package musl to the latest version.

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop within the wcsnrtombs() function in musl libc. A remote attacker can consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.
