Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-3520)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in the fast LZ compression algorithm library. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted archive, trick the victim into opening it, trigger integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Prototype pollution (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-7709)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when processing slashes. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request and execute arbitrary JavaScript code on the target system.
3) Type Confusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-23820)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a type confusion error. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a type confusion error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Prototype pollution (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-4742)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when processing slashes. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request and execute arbitrary JavaScript code on the target system.
