Description
This security bulletin contains information about 14 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26388)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26389)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and execute arbitrary code.
3) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26390)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26391)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and execute arbitrary code.
5) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26392)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing files. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
6) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26393)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and execute arbitrary code.
7) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26394)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
8) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26383)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
9) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26384)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing files. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
10) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26385)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
11) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26402)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and execute arbitrary code.
12) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26403)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
13) Access of Memory Location After End of Buffer (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26386)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and read contents of memory on the system.
14) Access of Uninitialized Pointer (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-26387)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and gain access to contents of memory on the system.
