Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-27361)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the handling of JSON data. A remote administrator on the local network can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker on the local network can pass specially crafted input to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
