Description

This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-37695)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the Fake Objects plugin. A remote authenticated attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

2) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-21909)

The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the UI Framework component in Siebel CRM. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.

3) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-7712)

The vulnerability allows a remote privileged user to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Reports (Apache ZooKeeper) component in Oracle Financial Services Regulatory Reporting with AgileREPORTER. A remote privileged user can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.

4) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-3712)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when processing ASN.1 strings related to a confusion with NULL termination of strings in array. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application to trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system or perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

5) Inconsistent interpretation of HTTP requests (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-42252)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform HTTP request smuggling attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of HTTP requests. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the server and smuggle arbitrary HTTP headers via an invalid Content-Length header.

Successful exploitation of vulnerability may allow an attacker to poison HTTP cache and perform phishing attacks but requires Tomcat to be configured to ignore invalid HTTP headers via setting rejectIllegalHeader to false (not the default configuration).

6) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-42003)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data when the UNWRAP_SINGLE_VALUE_ARRAYS feature is enabled. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
